Welcome!

The purpose of the Professional Photographers of North Dakota is

1) to advance and promote the art and profession of photography in all its aspects;

2) to encourage and maintain cordial relations and interchange of thought among its members by conducting educational activities such as conventions, seminars or clinics;

3) to advocate the rights of professional photographers and their associations in various issues as they arise;

4) to cooperate with other associations and government for the betterment of the photographic profession and the betterment of the membership of PPND


Code of Ethics

When you purchase photography services from our members, you can rest assured that we adhere to a strict Code of Ethics

Before admission to membership in this Association, a person, firm or institution must, without reservation, solemnly agree to the "Code of Ethics"

(a)Endeavor to maintain a dignity of manner in behavior, in the presentation of his or her photography and photographic services, in personal appearance and that of the studio or place of business and in all other forms of public contact.

(b)Observe the highest standard of honesty in all transactions, avoiding the use of false, confusing, inaccurate and misleading terms, descriptions and claims.

(c)At all time endeavor to produce photographs of a quality equal or superior to the samples displayed, to apply best efforts toward providing the best possible photographic services and to play a part in raising the general standard of photographic craftsmanship.

(d)Show a friendly spirit of cooperation to fellow photographers and assist them whenever possible should they be in trouble or experiencing difficulty.

(e)At all times avoid the use of unfair competitive practices as determined by any court of competent jurisdiction, the Federal anti-trust laws and related statutes.

(f)Assist fellow photographers and share knowledge with them and encourage them individually and collectively to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality.

(g)Recognize the authority of the Association in all matters relating to the interpretation of the Code in accordance with the statutes of the United States and various states and the decisions of courts and governmental agencies of competent jurisdiction.
