Discounts to local, regional & national seminars and conventions. They provide education, tips, and demonstrations from the top photographers around the country. Collaborative support from your peers, sharing knowledge back and forth with other to improve yourself and others- to help maintain the highest standards of quality in our work. Print competition allows you to receive constructive criticism on your work, and how to improve it in all aspects. Photographic Awards & Degrees, giving you the opportunity to advance yourself. Coming together to create a higher standard of "Professional Photography". Display your membership, with the use of the association trademark, to the public in advertising and literature. Automatic membership in the Regional organization "Northern Lights Professional Photographers Association" which holds a large annual convention, print judging and trade show. Voice your opinions and or advocate the rights of professional photographers and their associations as they arise. Gives you access to the ND Photographer's library. PPND is a group of educated photographers from across the state. We come together approximately twice a year for education and fun. Together we share with each other, new ideas and current events.   Membership Categories: Active: Studio Owner, Part Owner, Manager of studio or industrial department, press photographers or photographic educators who spend substantial time or receive majority of their income from photography. Provisional: Photographer or persons NOT in full time photography whose primary productive time is spent or source of income is derived from other employment activities. All educational and membership benefits apply, except the right to vote or use of the association trademark, logo or name. Exhibitor: Manufacturers, manufacturer's representative, supplier, processing lab, or any other providers to the profession of photography. Associate: W-2 Paid Employee, spouse or family of photographic studio or industrial department owned or managed by active member. Non- Resident: Photographers or assistants who do not reside or work in the state of North Dakota who may desire to affiliate with PPND. Aspiring: Anyone who is a full time student studying photography through a recognized school of photography. Request a membership application from PPND Executive Secretary.
